About RTTYDX
A hub for RTTY operators: what's on the air now, what's coming, and what's needed.
Why it exists
RTTY operators chasing DXCC depend on DXpeditions putting time on RTTY. RTTYDX shows the demand — which entities RTTY operators still need — and alerts members the moment one is on air.
How status works
Planned an activation is on the calendar. Reported an operator says they are QRV. Verified a Reverse Beacon Network skimmer has decoded the callsign on RTTY.
Data sources
RTTY spots come from the Reverse Beacon Network; contest dates from the WA7BNM Contest Calendar; callsign prefixes from AD1C's country files; and the all-mode most-wanted ranking from Club Log.
The mark at the foot of each page
It is a real ITA2 transmission: a LTRS shift followed by R and Y, each framed by a start bit and 1.5 stop bits. Filled bars are mark, gaps are space. RYRY… is the traditional RTTY test pattern because R and Y are bitwise opposites.
